In
Early 2004 ABC contacted Home Aid who contacted Shea Homes about working
on a home in the Los Angeles Area. Shea Homes took on the project & brought
together all of their best trade-partners from 5 divisions of Shea to
build a new home for the Garay Family.
Shea
San Diego asked us to participate in supplying the 45 Anlin vinyl windows,
1 sliding glass door and installation for this project.
We were thrilled to be a part of this exciting project since we
had never done anything like this before.
We worked very close with Shea and all the trades in organizing
and planning for the project.
We
went up on Saturday afternoon June 5th 2005 to stay the night since
our scheduled time to work was on Sunday at 7:00AM
and we had to be on site by 5:00AM. Because of delays with the concrete we did not
get to start our portion of the project until 10:00AM. We were done by 2:00PM.
When
ABC came to San Diego to work
on the home in Encinitas they called us and asked to be a part of the
show again. Unfortunately they
needed windows in 3 days and we are not a manufacture so we could not
do the project. We gave them a
name of a window manufacturer who did the project for them.
We
enjoyed working on the Extreme Makeover Home and we are very happy that
we could do our part in helping out the Garay family.
As
you will see we have some of the pictures I took while on site.
